Implementation Of 2nd Phase Of Accelerated Power Development & Reforms Plan Okayed THE government on Thursday signalled revival of distribution sector reforms by approving the long-pending implementation of remodelled second phase of Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (APDRPII) that aims to bring down aggregate technical and commercial (AT&C) losses of utilities to 15% within five years.
The Ministry of Power is concerned with perspective planning, policy formulation, processing of projects for investment decision, monitoring of the implementation of power projects, training and manpower development and the administration and enactment of legislation in regard to thermal, hydro power generation, transmission and distribution.
