Choice from voice

A new navigation system that uses voice-recognition technology is now available in the US. Developed by Amerigon of Monrovia, California, the Interactive Voice System(IVS) is not speaker dependent, so you do not have to train the programme to respond to your voice. You simply spell out one word in the street or landmark your plan to drive to, and the system audibly presents you with a choice of possible destinations. IVS then gives you directions, distance and estimated time to your destination, which you can access as many times as you wish.
