Most of tube wells in Nandail upazila of Mymensingh district are not pumping waters even Monsoon and the people of upazila have been suffering from shortage drinking waters as the deep tube wells and shallow tube wells, which were used for irrigation waters during Boro season but now not pumping waters.

Sambalpur town inundated
SAMBALPUR: Downpour since last night has thrown normal life out of gear in Sambalpur district. While Sambalpur district received an average rainfall of 150 mm, Jujumura block recorded the highest rainfall of 300 mm. In Sambalpur town, Housing Board Colony, Cheruapada, Danipali, SRIT Colony at Budharaja, Bahalpada in Sakhipada, Pt. Laxmi Narayan Lane and Manikmunda have been inundated.

Poor monsoon hits milk output 15-20%
Prices of dairy products up. Deficient rain this monsoon has affected milk production, particularly in the northern states of the country, driving up procurement cost of companies such as Mother Dairy and Amul by 10-15 per cent. 27 villages cut off in Nayagarh
NAYAGARH: As many as 27 villages have been marooned due to heavy rains in the district since yesterday. The villages have been inundated by the swelling Kuanria river, Brutang river, Mahisha and Besali rivulets. One of the worst hit area is Daspalla which has received 140 mm of rainfall.
