THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A depression near the Andhra coast caused heavy rainfall in Thiruvananthapuram district on Wednesday.
Khammam, Dec. 7: Under the influence of cyclone in the Bay of Bengal, the district experienced heavy rainfall on Tuesday. Rainfall had started on Monday evening and it continued on Tuesday. As result of downpour, paddy and cotton crops were heavily damaged across the district. Sheaf of corns and bundles of grain stocks which are kept in the fields after reaping were inundated by the rain water.
