Environmentalists and legal experts have accused the Nepal government for what they say an "irresponsible' amendment of the Environment Protection Regulation 1997. According to them, any amendment in the regulation will adversely effect the environment as industrial sectors will begin to enjoy a monopoly over the country's pristine nature and ecology.
