ELECTRIC VEHICLES
The government of Pakistan is undertaking a study regarding the introduction of electric vehicles. Environment ministry officials said that these electric vehicles were environment-friendly means of transport and their operational cost was lower than that of vehicles operating on other fuels. Moreover, these were pollution-free. Batteries used in them were rechargeable, they added. They said Pakistan like other developing countries was facing air pollution that was aggravated by gases emitted by vehicles.
