Post-mortem confirms poaching of sambar
The postmortem report of a sambar killed in Sattari has confirmed it as a case of poaching. The Forest Department officials who received the postmortem report on Wednesday said that the sambar has two holes in its neck, which are due to passing of gun shots.

No reconsidering decision to amend Panchayat Act: CM
Chief Minister, Digambar Kamat has ruled out reconsideration of the government decision to amend the Goa Panchayat Raj Act empowering the panchayat secretaries. Pirna locals protest proposed mining activities
Residents of Pirna and Nadora in Bardez taluka on Sunday strongly protested against the proposed mining activities in the area. The meeting of the villagers was convened at Nadora on Sunday, where about 500 villagers strongly opposed the decision of Central Pollution Board to give clean chit to one mining company to start mining activities in the area.
