Accused yet to be framed for killing tiger
The local court at Valpoi is yet to frame charges against the accused charge-sheeted in sensational tiger killing case, a senior forest officer said. Deputy Conservator of Forests (North), G T Kumar confirmed that the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Valpoi is yet to frame charges against all the five accused, who were charge-sheeted last month.

NREGS in Sattari taluka on a positive note
The National Rural Employment Guarantee Schemes (NREGS), introduced in Sattari taluka in 2008, has started showing positive results. Sattari Taluka Programme Officer Shivdutta Munj has claimed that out of the 254 proposed works, 154 projects were sanctioned and they have completed 100 works under the scheme, while 15 were under execution.
