AHMEDABAD : If you have had problems of water pressure at your home or office and resultant water shortage, you have the weak water system of the city to blame. However, there is a silver lining. All of this is set to be rectified. At least that is what Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) authorities claim.

AHMEDABAD: For the time being, Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL) has stalled all repairs on the fractured BRTS corridors. But in a month's time, when BRTS buses get ready to roll on the corridor, AJL warns of heavy fines and stringent measures if residents do not respect the corridor.
Ahmedabad : They are no springs of joy anymore. But, mere eyesores. The fountains installed by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in various areas of the city do not function. Instead, they have become garbage bins and breeding ground for mosquitoes. And, this after the civic body having spent, on an average, Rs 4 to 5 lakh on their construction.
Ahmedabad : On its trial run, the long-awaited BRTS bus attracted immense attention, arresting the traffic in a jam on Friday evening. Curious commuters stopped to look at BRTS, which started from RTO Circle negotiating heaps of rubble, incomplete roads and vehicles, clocking exactly 37 minutes to cover 12.5 km till Pirana. Unfortunately, BRTS route was not ready for the bus to move smoothly.
Ahmedabad : A five-member team from Tanzania will get a firsthand look at the ongoing Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) project in the city. The team is on a study tour in preparation for launching Dar Rapid Transit (DART), a similar system in East Africa. The DART team has already taken a look at successfully running BRTS projects in Bogota and Curitiba.
