The Centre on Sunday said it was monitoring the situation in West Bengal in event of the outbreak of avian flu in two villages in the state. The health ministry in its report on the current situation over the flu said that culling of birds have commenced and more than 3,209 birds have already been culled as per the contingency plan chalked out by the state and Centre.
