Heavy rains lash Mumbai
MUMBAI: Heavy rains lashed the city on Firday leading to water logging in many low lying areas and disrupting traffic. "Water logging was reported in central Mumbai's Byculla, Parel, Mahalaxmi, Mahim, Goregaon and Milan Subway in the western suburbs following the rains," a Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) official said.

Rain-starved Bhakra to cut down supply
Water Release To 4 States Reduced By 5,000 Cusecs Chandigarh: Starved of rains, the fast-drying Bhakra from Thursday will reduce water released for irrigation by as much as 5,000 cusecs. June 25: This is supposed to the monsoon season, but the severe heat wave conditions in many parts of the state make it seem as if summer has not bid goodbye yet.
