Forecast of a poor rainfall has caused panic among farmers in Punjab. This has forced many agriculturists to start hoarding diesel, lest they are left with no other alternative for irrigation during the paddy season.
New Delhi: The chairman of PM's Economic Advisory Council, Suresh Tendulkar, said on Monday the economy would expand by at least 7% during the current financial year, provided the monsoon does not fail. He ruled out the need for pressing the panic button at the moment.
P. Sunderarajan NEW DELHI: The Southwest Monsoon has made rapid advances since Sunday and, by Monday evening, it covered almost 80 per cent of the country.
AHMEDABAD: It seems there are just clouds in store for Amdavadis for now. What is worse is that there seems to be no rainfall in the city until next week!
