Talks of Himalayan glaciers melting fast which will adversely affect major rivers like Brahmaptura has come to be true, but this time this has been confirmed in China which is building a mega dam to control flow of the river.
Qin Dahe, the former head of the China Meteorological Administration, said that glaciers in the Tibetan Plateau is melting very fast which will affect the climate and major rivers. The Tibetan Plateau contains the world’s third-largest store of ice. Temperatures are rising four times faster than elsewhere in China, and the Tibetan glaciers are retreating at a higher speed than in any other part of the world
