Mumbai: Heavy downpour over the last three days has pushed up the water levels in the lakes in Mumbai. The lake levels saw an increase of 82,622 million litres of water in the last 24 hours starting 8.30 am yesterday to 8.30 am today, civic officials said. Presently, there is 4,68,633 mld of water in all the city lakes as compared to 6,34,144 mld last year, they said.

Jamshedpur, July 25: A parched Jharkhand can look forward to some relief in the next two days. The Patna Meteorological Office, which monitors weather conditions in the state, has forecast widespread rainfall over Jharkhand in the next 48 hours.
BHUBANESWAR: Several rivers have started swelling after incessant rains across the State during the past 48 hours, triggered by a low pressure. Following heavy rains in upper catchments, Bansadhara was flowing above the danger mark at Kashinagar. Brahmani and Baitarani were also showing a rising trend.
CHANDIGARH: A Central team of the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs on Sunday visited Bani village in Sirsa district to assess the extent of loss to wheat which was damaged in the State Warehouse during the recent floods.
