Interim compliance report by the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board in Original Application No 81-2022 (Central Zone Bench) in the matter of Bhoma Ram Mali Vs State of Rajasthan & Others.
The action plan for the restoration of the environment was prepared by the joint committee constituted by the NGT and the same was communicated to the Executive Officer, Municipal Board, Pokhran vide office letter dated January 3, 2024 for compliance. The municipal board had to submit the compliance report before April 15, 2024, however the compliance report has not been submitted till date.
The NGT had imposed total environmental compensation of Rs. 65,75,000 against the Municipal Board, Pokhran and deposit the same to RSPCB within two months from the date of order (September 11, 2023). However, no environmental compensation has been submitted to RSPCB till date despite the letters issued by RSPCB from time to time. The matter related to damage caused to land due to municipal/domestic effluent flow.
