Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Anuj Kumar Vs State of Uttarakhand & Others dated 23/08/2023.
The applicant has made several allegations against M/s Rai Bahadur Narayan Singh Sugar Mills Limited in respect of non-compliance and violation of the directions issued by the Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board.
The prayer in the OA is to issue a direction to the said respondent to install an incineration boiler to protect ground water from pollution and also to construct concrete nallah from industry premises to Hadwada drain. There is a further prayer to issue a direction to the said respondent to develop green area in 10 acres and to compensate for the loss caused to the environment by assessing the damage.
To look into the matter, the Tribunal directed a joint committee to look into the matter and listed the matter for further consideration, November 22, 2023.
