Report by the Director, Industrial Safety and Health to the National Green Tribunal on M/s Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited located in Kalwa Industrial Estate, Navi Mumbai,Thane district said that was not registered under Factories Act till date.
During a visit to the factory it was observed that the occupier of the factory was using the premises as a factory without obtaining a valid license from the Director, Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, Maharashtra.
Notice was issued against occupier for the contraventions of Maharashtra Factories Rules, 1963. As no compliance was secured by the occupier, Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, Thane office has filed prosecution under the provisions of Factories Act 1948 against occupier in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thane on January 18, 2023 for not obtaining factory license.
