Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Avinash Vidhrohi Vs State of Himachal Pradesh dated 04/11/2022. Avinash Vidhrohi resident of village Deoli, tehsil Ghanari, district Una, Himachal Pradesh in his application to the NGT said that the PWD Department got pruning of all branches of 200 fruit bearing mango trees standing on Daulatpur-Gagret Guglehad road done through a contractor without obtaining requisite permission from the forest department. This work was done without any tender or work order in violation of protective prohibition order passed by the High Court of Himachal Pradesh.
The NGT directed the PCCF (HoFF), Himachal Pradesh and District Magistrate, Una to be personally present on January 13, 2023. This the court said was essential for assisting the tribunal for the "just and proper adjudication of the questions involved in the case."
