Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Second Amendment Regulations, 2022
The Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) on October 27, 2022, published the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Second Amendment Regulations, 2022 to further Amend the draft Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulations, 2021. The Amendments are as follows: The following has been added after Table 11 that provides “ENZYMES (for treatment or processing of raw materials, foods, or ingredients)”. which is namely: Table 11A which specifies “Enzymes derived from Genetically Modified Microorganisms (GMM)” has been introduced in the notification.
