ASEAN state of climate change report
The ASEAN State of Climate Change Report (ASCCR) provides an overall outlook of the state of play of climate change issues in the ASEAN region. ASCCR is also a forward-looking report, which includes recommendations on making the transition toward 2030 and on to 2050 for both adaptation and mitigation, considering ASEAN’s development context and the long-term goals of the Paris Agreement. Specifically, the report presents the current status and outlook of the ASEAN region’s development context relevant to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the impacts of climate change as well as vulnerability to them, and climate change adaptation and mitigation measures. The report also provides viable goals and pathways to develop an ASEAN vision for climate action toward 2050, to reach the PA goals, and carry out the related actions in the region needed to achieve this vison.
