Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Raj Kumar Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 02/07/2021. The matter related to illegal mining in the submerged water area in village Kanwara and village Bendakhadar, district Banda, Uttar Pradesh.
The NGT has directed the Additional Chief Secretary, Mining, Uttar Pradesh to furnish a report on the matter and the report must contain the status of DSR and replenishment studies for Banda district, status of in-stream mining in submerged water and monitoring mechanism in place.
