Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shujaat Hussain Vs Union Territory Jammu & Kashmir dated 02/03/2020.
A report was sought from the District Magistrate, Anantnag and Jammu & Kashmir State PCB with reference to the allegation of illegal sand mining from Jhelum river affecting aquatic life without following environmental norms. Accordingly, the state PCB filed a report on December 18, 2019 mentioning the steps taken in the matter.
