Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding zonal master plan of Matheran Eco-Sensitive Zone, Maharashtra, 09/01/2020
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Bombay Environment Action Group Vs Union of India & Others dated 09/01/2020. The bench of Justice S. P. Wangdi took up the matter of Zonal Master Plan drafted by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
The NGO, Bombay Environment Action Group in its application before the tribunal said the master plan failed to address the environmental issues of Matheran Eco-Sensitive Zone (ESZ). The case has been listed again for 13 February, 2020.
