Ganga river basin planning assessment report
The World Bank has assigned Deltares and its partners AECOM India and FutureWater to carry out the project “Analytical Work and Technical Assistance to support Strategic Basin Planning for Ganga River Basin in India” in cooperation with the Government of India. The objectives of the project are: to strengthen the capacity with respect to strategic basin planning; to develop a set of scenarios and strategies for the development of the Ganga basin; to build a strong and accessible knowledge base; and to establish a multi-stakeholder engagement process to support strategic basin planning. This report consists of three parts that report on: Part A: The scenario and strategy assessment; Part B: The environmental flow assessment. Part C: The groundwater-surface water interaction assessment.
