Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding cutting of trees at Mauza Dhakpatti, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, 02/04/2019
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Gauri Shriram Keeling Vs State of Uttarakhand & Others dated 02/04/2019 regarding cutting of trees at Khasra No. 741 situated in Mauza Dhakpatti, Dehradun. According to the applicant, cutting of trees will convert Dhang/ravine into a barren land by filling mud into the said Dhang. Such action will disturb the ecology.
NGT directs the District Magistrate, Dehradun and the District Forest Officer (DFO), Dehradun to look into the matter, take appropriate action in accordance with law and furnish a factual and action taken report in the matter within one month.
