The future is renewable and it will be worldwide. These are the main conclusions of the latest report by the World Association of Wind Energy (WWEA), which states that in 2050 nearly 100% of electricity generation will be produced by renewable energy, and wind will be the first choice in many countries, where it will come to represent up to 40% of the total. The report “Wind Energy 2050: On the shape of near 100% RE grid”, by the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) claims that this technology is establishing itself increasingly as the first choice for power generation in many countries, and its integration into conventional power grid has become a technological challenge. It also concludes that by 2050 renewable energies will be implemented by almost 100%.
