Bangladesh national hygiene baseline survey: preliminary report

This report includes findings on a range of handwashing indicators from a nationally representative population along with water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) indicators to provide baseline information for use in advocacy, planning and program monitoring. Field workers conducted face‐to face surveys, spot checks and structured observations to determine handwashing practices and facilities and collected data on other WASH practices, facilities and knowledge. Used two‐stage stratified cluster sampling to select households. The nearest schools, restaurants, street food vendors, hospitals and Traditional Birth Attendants were enrolled.
