Order of the National Green Tribunal on the degradation of environment of Jagganath Puri, Temple and its precincts, 22/10/2013
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Subhas Datta Vs. Union of India & Others dated 22/10/2013 on the issue of degradation of environment of Jagganath Puri, Temple and its precincts. The NGT order states that the report of the Orissa Pollution Control Board shows water samples at Pejanallah which reveals that waste water of outlet of Penjanallah that drains Lord Jagannath Temple Rosasala discharges into the municipal drain. The water quality parameters were not only beyond the prescribed parameters but show devastating results.
