REHABILITATION COMMITTEES
The Bombay High Court ordered setting up of three committees to monitor rehabilitation of those who encroached on parts of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park at Borivili. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Y K Sabharwal and Justice Ajit Shah directed the committees to ensure the implementation of the court order. The first committee will monitor and ensure the relocation of the slumdwellers who have encroached within the park. The second committee will be a grievance redressal body. The third committee will submit a report every two months to the High Court about the progress of the implementation of its order.
