India disaster report 2011
This report is the first report being published by the National Institute of Disaster Management for the year 2011. It is hoped that the publication of this report will stimulate improved data collection and research which can enable the gaps identified in the management of the disasters to be addressed in future. The report draws on lessons learnt from the disasters of 2011 reflecting a common concern in building disaster resilient communities and reducing human, social, economic and environmental losses due to natural hazards.
