Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board
For Prevention and Control of water pollution and maintaining or restoring of wholesomeness of water and prevention, control & abatement of air pollution environmental laws namely Water (Prevention and Control Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 have been enacted. Central and State Pollution Control Boards came into existence to fulfill the purpose mentioned in the above Acts. With the Constitution of Chhattisgarh State, a Board namely Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board came into existence.
