The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has prosecuted 142 people after holding them responsible for mosquito breeding in different parts of the city. Cases have been registered against them for disobeying Government orders under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
The minister of state for health and family welfare, Renuka Choudhury has said that the Union government is planning to introduce a comprehensive anti-smoking Bill in the winter session of Parliament. Although such a bill was tabled twice in Parliament earlier, it did not see the light of day due to various reasons.
