Andhra Pradesh state of forest report 2011
Forests are renewable natural resource and its availability in a region indicates its prosperity. In Andhra Pradesh the natural forests are confined to remote areas and in other zones the forests are depleting day by day. The planning process and enforcement have to be done in a well coordinated manner to control the degradation. By bringing “ State of Forest Report 2010”, the A.P. Forest Department has taken a pioneering step in consolidating the natural resource availability in the state. Andhra Pradesh happens to be the only state which has brought out such report and the present publication “ State of Forest Report 2011” is second in the series.
