Basin study for Lohit Basin, Arunachal Pradesh: draft report
The Study of Lohit Basin in Arunachal Pradesh has been initiated at the instance of Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India while according prior Environmental Clearance to Demwe Lower hydroelectric project and Demwe Upper hydroelectric project being developed by M/s Athena Demwe Power Limited, New Delhi. The Basin Study will focuss on the various impacts resulting from implementation of hydro power projects in the Lohit basin. A total of 6 (six) hydroelectric projects are proposed to be developed on the main Lohit river upto Brahmakund in the Indian portion.
