A division bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court told the state government and state pollution control board to submit proposals for reducing toxic effluents released by units located in the Patancheru industrial area. The court also asked the departments concerned to provide a status report on the 18-kilometre proposed pipeline that would carry the discharges to Musi river.
The observation came after the Supreme Court transferred the matter to the high court for further monitoring.
