Portable car
It weighs 20 kgs, measures approximately 52.8 cubic metres and is powered by a two-stroke engine. It can be unpacked in under two minutes and never collects a parking ticket. It is the new generation portable car. Developed by Vaios Pamagiotou, a mechanical engineering student at the University of Brighton, UK, the world's smallest car fits into a light aluminium alloy box. Featuring bicycle handlebars as the steering wheel, seven gears, headlights and traffic direction indicators, it can reach speeds of up to 56 km per hour on campus streets ( Spectrum , September-October '99).
