Importance of ligh weight materials on fuel economy for inter city passenger buses
There is potential scope for light weight materials in passenger buses to improve fuel economy. NVH aspects, emission to meet future norms. A study was conducted to identify components for which light weight materials such as High Strength Low Alloy Steels (HSLA), Aluminium Alloys, plastics and composites can replace in city transport buses.
