Water Crisis
The irrigation ministry of Sri Lanka will construct a massive reservoir in the North Western Province as a permanent solution to the water shortage by constructing a dam across river Deduru Oya, a ministry spokesperson said. Two major canals will be constructed at Tummodara. The dam will be two km long and 73 metres high.
