Thailand
Thailand is drafting legislation to protect the rights of children born through artificial insemination. The bill, first of its kind in the country, is expected to be finished by the end of the year. The National Youth Bureau's subcommittee, responsible for the scrutiny of laws concerning the nation's youth, has agreed to push for the drafting of a law to protect the rights of children born through scientific methods. Scientific techniques to help couples to have babies include artificial insemination, testube baby development, embryo transfer and ejaculate sperm injection method. The decision was made after the panel members studied information gathered from experts from different fields.
