Anna Nagar Western Extension and Mogappair are densely populated areas that are out of the Metro project's Corridor 2 loop. Residents want the route reworked to include their areas as well G Saravanan Chennai CORRIDOR 1 FROM Washermanpet to Airport via Esplanade, Central, Egmore, Anna Salai and Guindy. The corridor is partly elevated and partly underground. Underground portion for about 13.5 km. The track emerges after Saidapet station and terminates in front of the Airport.
