Some relief in LPG price: Improve public transport system
The Madhya Pradesh government, by slashing taxes on LPG and diesel, has tried to give some relief to the common people. However, this decision has come too late. The government effected reduction by 3.02 percent on LPG gas and 2 pc VAT on diesel. This would bring down the price of LPG by Rs 10 and the price of diesel per litre would be reduced by 61 paise per litre. As regards petrol price, no change has been made in taxes. Thus the State government, by reducing the tax on diesel has not done great justice to its people.
