Rain causes outages
Mild rains in some part of the capital led to blackouts in various parts of East and South Delhi on Wednesday. The areas badly affected included South Delhi and East Delhi like Panchsheel Park, R K Puram, Safdarjung, Preet Vihar, Mehrauli, Lakshmi Nagar, Kalyan Puri, Vikas Marg, Patparganj, South Extension. Sources said that due to rains, the moisture 82% humidity) crept into transmission lines, which led to local power cuts. The power went off at 8:30 pm and didn't come on until late at night.
