Pharma cos on buying spree
Six foreign firms acquired in April AFTERa slow beginning, things are hotting up for the pharma sector on deal street. Last month, Indian drug firms acquired six overseas companies, including the $255 million acquisition of US-based Draxis Health Inc by Jubilant Organosys. Besides, the month also saw one of the biggest inbound deal in the sector, the $218 million buyout of Dabur Pharma by German company Fresenius Kabi.
