A CNG-run bus needs Tk 2 for travelling a distance of one kilometre while the cost of fuel for a diesel-run bus for plying the same distance would be Tk 14, according to the energy division of the government. The price of per cubic meter CNG is Tk 8.5 while the current price of per litre diesel is Tk 40.
