Living life lightly
Six years ago, Bill Mckibben wrote The End of Nature and became the most prominent literary environmentalist. But writing this book depressed him, and he decided to look more optimistically at the world around. Thus originated his ne book, Hope, Human and Wild. In this book he relates some true stories of "living lightly on earth", and still be alright. He writes that Curitiba in Brazil, and Kerala in India make do with far less than what some other places in some other more fortune countries have, and yet, they have not sacrificed health, logevity and the possibility of happiness.
