AHMEDABAD: The state-owned Gujarat Housing Board (GHB) plans to launch housing schemes in Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Vadodara for lower income group (LIG) and middle income group (MIG) in the next one year.
AHMEDABAD: Of the total 1,160 leopards in the state, 207 are staying outside jungles, close to people. What`s more, this number is constantly going up. The recently concluded census found that this number of leopards shifting out of the jungle has risen by more than 40 per cent since the last census conducted in 2006. AHMEDABAD: The AMC have decided to procure 16,520 tree guards to protect existing plantations in the city. The guards have been procured to protect existing saplings and those which would be planted during June. Each of the tree guards cost the AMC Rs 555.
