The Bombay High Court at Goa on Monday directed that filing and exchanging of pleadings pertaining to petitions on Special Economic Zone (SEZ) be completed by May 7, 2009.Declining to adjourn the hearing after vacations, the High Court asked counsels appearing for SEZ companies to complete the pleadings by May 7.

Leopard scares Chicalim locals
The sight of a leopard devouring a monkey on a tree at Naqualim-Chicalim on Wednesday evening caused panic among residents. The incident took place at about 5 pm when locals were startled to notice a leopard consuming its prey. They alerted the forest department, Vasco police and fire department of the incident, but the forest department reached the site only three hours later.

Keri man held for killing tiger
The forest department has nailed a Keri resident for his alleged involvement in killing tiger in Mhadei wild life sanctuary area. The department officials contended that the arrested person is just a suspect as he was involved in similar offence in the past.
