Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on Sunday stated that the Government would appoint a high-level Committee to study Canacona floods under the chairmanship of NIO Director Satish Shetye. Addressing the press in Canacona on Sunday, Kamat said he has already spoken to Shetye who has agreed to it.

No sooner the students step out of their classrooms they are catapulted into the thick of mining activities.
The off site emergency plan for chemical and harzardous industries in south Goa will now be part of the district Disaster Management Plan.
