Debabrata mohanty Despite people from six villages opposing the land survey work by government officials for the 12 million tonne Posco steel plant at Jagatsinghpur district, on Tuesday the local administration started the survey work in a village in the area.
PARADIP: The last-phase survey for crisis-ridden Posco project will get underway from Tuesday. This was decided at a meeting among district administration, United Action Committee (UAC), a purportedly pro-Posco outfit, and villagers likely to be affected by the project yesterday. It was also decided to finalise the compensation package after the survey taking into confidence Posco authorities.
