BHUBANESWAR: The administration on Thursday tried to sell its fresh rehabilitation package on Posco project to the displaced claiming the new offer is all steel and not gas. With the project hanging fire over land acquisition, the Government and the company have given the much-needed push to convince those vigorously opposing the project.

PARADIP: To finalise the Posco compensation package, the district administration has called a meeting of Rehabilitation and Peripheral Development Advisory Committee (RPDAC) at Jagatsinghpur on July 8. A notification was issued to all members of RPDAC today asking them to participate, said District Rehabilitation Officer Surjeet Das.

BHUBANESWAR: Utkal Bharat, the fledgling regional party, today supported the Posco steel project at Paradip which is facing opposition from the local people and a few political parties. Notwithstanding the claim of rapid economic growth of the State by the BJD Government, president of Utkal Bharat Kharabela Swain said that the per capita income in the State is Rs 13,329.
